This is called Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses). When the mind is concentrated on the centre, blood and energy are drawn to it, and this causes withdrawal of the senses at that centre. In the deep state of relaxation that results from the practice, tension is released, and the mind becomes clear, the thoughts become more powerful. In psychic sleep we tap directly into our inner personality, our core, and are able to change our deep seated attitudes, beliefs and values towards ourselves, our lives, and others. It is a method of going within, and has been used by yogis since the dawn of time to bring them face to face with their inner self.

The class starts with grounding and intention setting to prepare the body and mind for the practice.

It is followed by gentle Vinyasa sequence to help relax Solar Plexus area and circulate the prana in the body.

Asana practice includes standing, twisting, bending, balancing, sitting, prone, supine poses, inversions and relaxation to give the body an overall workout.

The sequences completes with final relaxation to absorb all the benefits from the practice.

Various options of the poses are offered throughout the class, so you never have to worry that you may not be able to do something perfectly. Breathing is an essential part of yoga practice and many breathing techniques are incorporated into the class. Mudras, mantras and philosophy are also included as a part of Hatha Yoga practice.
